Basic-H: The Gardener's Friend

PROTECTING HANDS - Before you go out to plant those garden seeds, coat your hands with full-strength Basic-H full strength. This acts as an invisible glove and makes clean-up easy.

VEGETABLE GARDENS - Mix 1 TBSP. Basic-H to a gallon of water. Pour this in furrow and the seed will soon be sprouting and forming good root systems. Experimentation has shown faster emergence, greater root development, withstanding cold weather better and absorbing proper nutrients and thus increasing their growth.

ABOVE-GROUND VEGETABLES - Mix 2 TBSP. Basic-H with 5 gallons of water. Stir. Pour 1 - 2 quarts around every plant. Apply in evening when cooler. Repeat every 2 - 3 weeks during the growing season. Basic-H makes water 300 times wetter, so the soil nutrients can reach the roots. You'll be surprised and pleased with the increased yield. Healthy soil releases all nutrients needed for plant growth and development (Also, see Green Lawns).

TOMATO PLANTS - 10 - 12 drops of Basic-H in a 16 oz. spray bottle. Spray when the sun goes down or on a cloudy day.

ROSE BUSHES - Use 1 tsp. Basic-H to a gallon of water. Spraying rose bushes will protect them from red spider and other diseases. It also serves as a fertilizer. ROSE BUSHES AND APHIDS - Mix 8 drops of Basic-H to a quart of water in a hand spray pump. Spray on rose bushes. Basic-H dissolves the oil coating on insects, which opens their pores, letting the water soak in and causing the insect to drown.

CABBAGE WORMS - Mix 1 tsp. Basic-H to one pint of water. Spray plants each week or ten days until worms are no longer a problem.

GREEN LAWNS - Use 2 TBSP. Basic-H to bottle applicator, like Ortho. Spray as you would a liquid fertilizer. This should let 2 gallons through the applicator on the lawn. To keep lawns and shrubs in better shape, shampoo them with a Basic-H solution every 2- 3 weeks during the growing season. This tends to remove bugs and surface tension.

HOUSE PLANTS - Use 2 drops of Basic-H in a quart of water every other week. It seems to help solve some types of insect infestation. Use to clean ivy and other broad leaf plants and evergreens.

WATERING FRUIT TREES & ROSE BUSHES - Use 1 oz. Basic-H to 5 gallons of water. Bugs and worms will be repelled and plants will flourish. INSECT SPRAY FOR LAWN, GARDEN and ORCHARDS - Spray 2 TBSP. Basic-H to 5 gallons of water.

CHRISTMAS TREES - A couple of squirts in your water stand will keep the tree fresh and growing.
